About

Aydelotte Baptist Church got its name from the small town of Aydelotte situated along the two lane road connecting Shawnee and Meeker.  The town no longer exists but the road is now a busy five lane highway and the church is still thriving.  Aydelotte draws people from all ages and backgrounds and families from all over the area especially Prague, Meeker, and Shawnee.  The area itself continues to grow with new homes, businesses, and industries.  Aydelotte is easily found just four miles north of I-40 and the Shawnee Mall.

Purpose
God made the Church for His glory.  Jesus said that His Heavenly Father is seeking true worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:23).  We exist to worship Him through His Son Jesus Christ and spread His worship around the world by spreading the Gospel.  To do this, the Aydelotte family is committed to growing in Christ-likeness and sharing God’s love and truth.  This happens in prayer meetings, worship services, Sunday School classes, KIDS church, special events and various ministries.

Sunday Morning Worship
Aydelotte gathers every Sunday morning at 10:45 am for corporate worship.  This time includes God-centered and Gospel-rich singing and expository preaching.  Fernando Castro and a team of singers and musicians leads in song and pastor Paul Gore recently completed teaching verse by verse through the New Testament letter of Philippians.  Dress is casual.

Sunday School
Sunday School classes exist for all ages beginning at 9:45 am including College/Career.  Children’s classes follow the current KIDS Church theme.  7th – 12th grade students currently meet together.  Adult classes follow their own course of study.

KIDS Church
Children between preschool and fifth grade participate in themed learning activities during the Morning Worship Service.  Children have opportunities to earn “bucks” to spend on prizes in the KIDS Church store.  Family Worship currently happens every nine weeks when children and parents attend the worship service together.

Sunday Evening Service
The Sunday Evening Service begins at 6:00 pm for informal, topical Bible Study with family atmosphere, sometimes in member’s homes.  Special guest teachers or missionaries often speak in the Sunday Evening Service.  Childcare for nursery through preschool is available.  Because the Sunday evening schedule varies from week to week, be sure to check beforehand.

Wednesday Evenings
Adult Prayer Group, Worship On Wednesdays (WOW) for children and adults, and “Fired UP” for students begin at 6:30pm.  A group for father’s of young children meets at 8:00pm.  Business Meetings are held the first or second Wednesday of every month.

Worship Ministry Team
The Worship Ministry Team is led by Fernando Castro and is made up of singers and musicians who lead in song on Sundays.  They meet every Wednesday from 6:00pm and every Sunday from 9:15-10:00am for rehearsal.  New team members are always welcome.

Student Ministry
The Student Ministry is made up of 7th through 12th graders from Shawnee, Dale, Prague, Tecumseh, North Rock Creek, South Rock Creek, and Meeker schools as well as homeschooled students.  They enjoy games and laughter but they also like to be challenged to go beyond the norm.  They want to make a difference for Christ in their schools, community, and world.  They meet Sundays at 9:45 am for Sunday School in the Student Center (formerly the old sanctuary foyer) and Wednesdays at 6:30pm for “Fired Up.”
